What’s The Best Pill That Has Worked For You Or Someone You Know For Anxiety Or Panic Attacks?
I know it depends on each person but I’m taking paxil and want to change prescriptions.
Paxil makes me very shaky, very dizzy and doesn’t let me sleep. Too much for me and I panic when I feel the side effects.

I’ve heard Lexapro is pretty good with few side effects. I haven’t taken it personally, but I thought about switching from Effexor (which I don’t recommend because if I missed a day, I’d feel dizzy and “off”).
I’ve also been on Wellbutrin, which had fewer side effects than the Effexor. It was okay, but not strong enough for me.
My dad took Xanax, but said that it made him feel groggy or dopey the next day.
Talk to your doctor, because he/she may want to decrease your dose, if they can’t switch you to another med.

It really does depend on the person. For me, daily medication was just too hard for me to handle. The side effects that happened while my body “adjusted” to the medication just made me feel overwhelmed and honestly worse than I was without the medication. I tried 4 different kinds and wasn’t able to continue taking them after the first week.
I went years with just trying to manage my attacks on my own until my doctor recently prescribed me a low dose of Xanax. My pills are .5mg each and I take 1/2 a pill when I know I’m going to be in a situation that I know I’ll get my panic symptoms. While it hasn’t “cured” me or make me feel 100% panic free even when I take them, the pills help take the edge off some stressful situations.
My doctor also mentioned that sometimes just knowing you have the pills with you “just in case” makes you feel at ease without needing to take one.

You dont need pills to manage your anxiety attacks.
The first step to learn anxiety panic attack relief is to believe that you have the ability to take control. Anxiety disorder is not a disease it’s a state of mind that can be controlled.

xanax is awesome…used to take it, and it really helped for awhile, but what i found most useful were breathing techniques. ask your doctor for suggestions, or do some research on the internet. it will refresh your mind, and clear your anxiety without a drugged out side effect like most anti-anxiety drugs have.

How long have you been on Paxil? Usually it takes 4-6 weeks to feel it working, and usually it makes it worse before better. Zoloft works for me, but it took 4 weeks to kick in, and made my panic way worse in the begining. Xanax is the best to get rid of both but very addicting. Klonopin is good too and longer lasting than xanax. Just take as needed.

xanax. Both my husband and I take it. I take a 1/4 of one to sleep and my husband take a whole when he has panic attacks and anxiety. It makes him pretty sleepy and me too.

Paxil usually is best. Get your prescription adjusted. Call pharmacist even. Topamax works well for some as a mood chiller.

xanax. (pronounced ZAN-AX)….milder than valium, and less habit forming.

LEXAPRO is great, or prozac.
