my anxiety attacks have been common for the past month, about a couple every week but now i have been having something like it, but different, the symptoms are different but it feels the same.
im confused on if it is panic or just anxiety with different symptoms.
I am looking for some tips on how to relieve stress! Things are getting harder and harder with work school…etc! I am just looking for some stress releivers that maybe I have not hear of! Thanks so much!
I’ve just been really stressed lately, and i want to relieve some of it and think for a little. i almost never have any down time at all, especially with wrestling, and cutting weight doesnt help at all. So what can i do to like meditate and relieve stress? thanks!
Can it be addictive, and what effect is it gonna have on me?
depends on the exact nature.
Most commonly in the west in benzodiazapines such as alprazolam or clonazepam. (over here, we also still use barbiturates and meprobamate) Sometimes, they will also an anti depressant such as an SSRI or tricyclic to get to the route of the anxiety. Or an antiphysotic such as olazapine or prochlorperazine if your anxiety has bizarre qualities such as being anxious that major league baseball is trying to assassinate you.
One of the newer anti anxiety drugs is Buspirone.
I’ve also seen Beta blockers like Clonidine being used to help control anxiety as well, they work by blocking the effects of adrenaline.
All in all, its a complex disorder to manage and has many treatment options best chosen by one on one in person consult with a professional.
I also began to feel very sick to my stomach, lightheaded, shaky and just unwell. The doctor said it was from the stress test in general but looking at the other patients in the waiting room during their break I find this hard to believe. I was very ill and here it has been a week later and still feel sick and my blood pressure is still sometimes as low as 92/50. I have never had a problem with my BP until that moment. I was having the test due to bradycardia and now ironically my heart rate is higher. Now during any type of exercise I get short of breth,chest pain under my breast bone, shaky, lightheaded,and numb around my mouth and hands …Any ideas?

Buspar is often used to treat anxiety attacks. It works by reducing the amount of serotonin (a neurotransmitter) in the brain. But be careful. Some doctors will prescribe Buspar AND an antidepressant. Most of the newer antidepressant work to INCREASE serotonin levels. Conflicting medications like this can cause some serious side effects.
i really don’t know if i have depression or anxiety attacks.. i talked to my doctor about it and asked if its a side effect of the medicine i’m taking for hypothyroidism… she said it’s normal… but sometimes these “attacks” just creep up when i’m trying to relax or doing nothing… how can i stop it? sometimes i can’t concentrate on studying because i keep worrying if i fo have depression and/or anxiety…
I get really had panic attacks. I used to get picked on a lot. When I go to school I’m scared people are going to pick on me.
