How will our government assure that the veterans of this war will get proper medical attention for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (i.e Shell Shock)? Will the veterans of this war be ignored like far to many Vietnam Veterans did when they returned from their war?
What politician running for the 2008 election has an answer for that question?
panic attacks can be controlled with medications (such as antidepressants) and professional counseling (such as cognitive-behavioral therapy). Successful treatment reduces the number and frequency of panic attacks, decreases the anxiety that accompanies the fear of future attacks, and improves the quality of your life. The most common treatment for depression includes the combination of antidepressant medicine and psychotherapy (called “therapy” for short, or “counseling”).
What are the pros and cons for therapy and for medicine when dealing with post traumatic stress disorder?
I suffer in certain situations with anxiety which can sometimes turn into a panic attack. I have come of my antidepressent and wanted to try some alternative therapy rather than going back on them. Anyone have any ideas?
We are minding a cat long term, we have had him 6mths now. Our own cat beats up on him. He regularly gets stress induced cystitis and we have to visit the vet. He usually gets an antinflammatory injection and this fixes him but burns the $$. Can anyone recommend something that I can get over the counter, either to relieve his stress or the cystitis? Both cats are desexed males 3 years old (ours) and 4 years old.
