one week after taking it i started getting spikes in my blood pressure, heat sensations in my back and anxiety attacks in my sleep. i would wake up feeling panicked. i have stopped taking it and all the problems went away after 5 days. just wondering if anyone else had this experience.
hey…wow, i seen your question and i knew i had to answer…I suffer from anxiety attacks, and i know how awfully horrible they are…Drink something warm, allow yourself to cry, hold yourself and rock back and forth, call one of your closest friends right away, b/c its hard to control your own thoughts when having an anxiety attack and if you start to think something suicidal or smn like that, they will be there to help you sort through your thoughts. i usually call a friend right away and they talk me through it, or i just talk until i feel like ive gotten everything out… and then i work on taking deep breaths and then i make myself comfortable and drink hot chocolate. This will all help you with the hyperventillating, and the gagging and all the other fun stuff that comes along with anxiety attacks…But, these things wil only take temporary pain away. Work on a relationship with God, if you do not already have one. I gaurentee you that my relationship with god is what really saves me every time and i know he can do the same for you…Take care and i hope i could help!!!!!! and just remember its not your fault…
Tell me what has helped you.
I take Trazadone at night to help me sleep but in the morning and through the day I sometimes get panic attacks. I don’t eat a lot anyway and Im wondering if this may have something to do with it or I may have a panic attack disorder or anxiety disorder or both or something else is going on with me. I also take topamax for migranes and lipitor.
he thyroid medications, will taking thyroid medication make it worse. I have been taking synthroid for over one year and never had a problem till now.
I want to stop taking zoloft but fear the panic attacks will return. I was also wondering what the affects of all the alcohol and the zoloft. Thanks.

Is any body taking medicine for social anxiety and panick attacks and does it work? And than when you stop using them after a while do you even feel worse than before? How long do you have to take them?
I stopped driving on the freeway about 6 year ago. I was hit by a semi-truck in 1995 while going over a bridge and the accident totaled my car. I was fine until late 2000, early 2001. I learned how to drive in 1994 and I drove on the freeway up until 6 years ago. One day I was driving and started to panic. It would go away and then it could come back the next week. Before you knew it I was panicking every single day. The strange thing is that it was specific to a certain area on the freeway. After I got past that area I was fine. Months later I was no longer able to drive on the freeway at all. When I did try I would stop right in the middle of moving traffic, turn on my hazard lights and freeze up. Now, I get nervous when driving on 2-3 lane highways (not freeways). Sometimes I get nervous driving down a normal street. I refuse to take medicine for this.
Have you ever experienced this or do you think it will go away eventually? I think it’s a mind thing.
I looked all over the internet. She asked her doctor. He will get back get back to her.but I’m just tired of waiting. Anyone have any ideas if she can take it or not?
