some times i have really weird panic attacks about things like remembering to catch the bus the next day. i wanted to know if these are a result of something like stress or something more serios.

I do it without thinking even. I am always stressed and full of anxiety. I have gained 30 lbs in 3 years because of stress eating. And I am always too tired to exercise.
i have been having panioc attacks for about 2 years now! ive lost my job, its hard for me to pick my son up from school and drop him off! i cant even leave my house to walk to the corner store without panicing. I need to know the best way to stop it without medication!
its hard to be without her ive been having panic attacks and anxiety attacks just thinking of her
It only happens at swim practice. I’ve been getting these… “attacks”? I guess. All of a sudden my heart will beat wildy fast and all the energy drains out of my limbs. It makes me feel like i’m going to cry. I can’t control it. I think it’s all in my head though, so I feel like I should be able to control it. When I’m afraid it’s going to happen it happens. Even when I know I can make a set it happens. It makes it incredibly hard to breath and I end up gasping for air after just a couple laps. I’m not at all out of shape. What do I do to stop it? It’s happening like, every day
Usually I will use Xanax but my prescription is out.
Why would this question be removed?
First off, consider medication. Unless you have specific reasons for not wanting medication, it can be very helpful in reducing anxiety/panic attacks. Much anxiety is caused by a lack of sufficient “happy” brain chemicals, and medication is effective at raising those chemicals and making you feel more normal. I use Xanax and can testify to its effectiveness.
That said, anxiety and panic attacks can be helped by other means. Other people have suggested meditation, which is helpful. Also try getting a book on relaxation techniques, and try “The Anxiety Cure” by Archibald Hart.
The thing about anxiety is that it is irrational, and you need to be able to understand what it is that is making you uncomfortable. The above two books can help you identify the source of your anxiety, which will make it easier to treat.
You can’t eliminate it properly without meds or at least therapy, most of the time. However, there are things you can do to make yourself get better.
E.G for anxiety and panic attacks, avoid “triggers”. You’ll notice you panic when certain things are around. You may think “Oh, gosh, I don’t want to die.” and panic about death (which is pretty common), but this might happen when you are in really strong winds, for example. Strong winds could be your trigger. That was a bad example, but you get what I mean?
Depression, you need to… take your mind off it. Hang out with friends. Take in a hobby. Get a pet. Write. Draw. Express yourself. Throw eggs off tall buildings.
Vent in any way you can, keep your mind off the sadness in any way you can, and it will lessen.
i have been having them for about 3 weeks and i want to know if there is something i can do to help prevent them or deal with them easier. maybe breathing techniques, thoughts, activities anything. all answers are greatly appreciated
