How Can I Prevent Anxiety Attacks?
i have been suffering with them for a while now.
i have been suffering with them for a while now.
I have to get blood work done and haven’t done it in years. I have occasional anxiety attacks sometimes for no reason. My doctor said I could take my anxiety medication and an ativan. I will also have the numbing cream for my arm. but how can I stop myself from having an anxiety attack or passing out? ( I never passed out before)
It was the first day today and I am already overwhelmed! most of my classes are AP. does anyone have any advice on how to calm down, don’t stress, maybe foods I could eat, things I could do, ways to chill out but still be able to get work done?
Lately I’ve been having them at least 3-5 times a day. Sometimes they’re triggered by stessful situations and sometimes they just come from out of the blue.
i have anxiety attacks constantly. i take med. for it and it helps. but when i have them,i feel like i’m losing my mind. i’m in my 50s and had these attacks for the last 5 years.i afraid to go anywhere, because i don’t drive and if an attack come on i want to be at home..so someone going to have to drop everything and take me home. the reason i don’t drive is because i lost my r-foot to diabetis,. so i’m in a wheelchair most of the time
I’m 16 years old and I get panic attacks. I have gotten 3 in the past week. It is some of the first that I have gotten and I don’t know what to do when I get them. Could they lead to heart attacks when I am older? How can I prevent them?
Every great while i get a sudden attack. the symptoms are.
short of breath
funnel vision
vision keeps tryin to black out
extremely hot
tingly all over
very light headed
dizzy
super fast heart rate
I did my research and im pretty sure that these are panic attacks.
Sometimes they just hit me for no reason. I will be completely relaxed and happy. Just hangin out with friends working out or somethin.
But sometimes i don know the cause of the attack. I usually start to feel the attack approaching when i am reaching a situation where i am going to confront someone with a problem. even if im not afraid of the person.
These attacks keep me from dealing with problems.
I dont know how to keep them from happening so that i can just do what i have to do.
Is there anyway to prevent them from happening???
Im willing to try anything from medications to spirituality.
Sometimes I feel fine and sometimes I feel like I’m having a panic attack. I’m not depressed…some people take anti-depressants to help. What do you take to help with this problem?
Whenever I’m having a bad day I get this feeling of anxiety that just keeps building up and then if something goes badly, even something small – like missing the bus or something, I start to hyperventilate. And when this happens in public it’s distressing and just embarassing. How can I prevent hyperventilation? And is it the same thing as a panic attack?
I have been doing inhaling and exaling/ stretching at the same time when I think my heart is pounding in abnormal way. I actually had a severe panic attack when I was 15 and it had a great physical effect on me and was very traumatic.
Is there any other ways to prevent a panic attack other than exercise (which I do) and inhaling/exhaling and stretching?
