I also began to feel very sick to my stomach, lightheaded, shaky and just unwell. The doctor said it was from the stress test in general but looking at the other patients in the waiting room during their break I find this hard to believe. I was very ill and here it has been a week later and still feel sick and my blood pressure is still sometimes as low as 92/50. I have never had a problem with my BP until that moment. I was having the test due to bradycardia and now ironically my heart rate is higher. Now during any type of exercise I get short of breth, chest pain under my breast bone, shaky, lightheaded, and numb around my mouth and hands …Any ideas?
I’m looking for exact wording, exact posture, exact times. I want to limit stress and get a positive answer. Any suggestions?
I hate this interview question. They always ask and I am sitting there shaking and I say “I try and stay calm”.
It sort of defeats the purpose when really I can’t handle much stress and pressure. I wish I could be honest about it. But that goes against the purpose of the interview- to lie through your teeth and sell yourself.
When it comes to stress, what have you found that helps you the most.Other then the obvious, take yourself out of the situation…
I have high b/p, I take benicar!

For the entire month of September and into October, I experienced Anxiety on almost a daily basis, and panic attacks about 3-4 times per week. Prior to taking my Blood Pressure, I freaked out, my heart was racing, and I was really nervous. My Blood pressure read 165/86. Does a panic attack/anxiety increase or distort the Blood Pressure reading? Other than anxiety, I’m pretty healthy. I don’t eat meat, only fish. And I’m not really overweight (10-15 lbs at the most), and I’ve never had a history of High Blood Pressure. Every time before the month of september, my blood pressure was normal. Is it reading high because I freak out and panic now when I take a blood pressure reading? By how many points can freaking out and panicking raise the reading?
I’m in college and sometimes I just can’t deal with it. I have high blood pressure proably beacuse of stress and sometimes, I just feel like I will have a nervous breakdown and potential end up in the hospital. However, without the degree I won’t make any money and feel that I deserve better. I can’t deal with life stuggles and proably need help. What should I do?

I have just been through a very stressful time in my life and all of a sudden my blood pressure has gone up to between 135 over 92 to 148 over 109 / I have checked it at different times over the past few days after having a nurse tell me it was to high durring a life insurance exam.
