Can Anxiety/panic Attacks Increase Blood Pressure Reading?
For the entire month of September and into October, I experienced Anxiety on almost a daily basis, and panic attacks about 3-4 times per week. Prior to taking my Blood Pressure, I freaked out, my heart was racing, and I was really nervous. My Blood pressure read 165/86. Does a panic attack/anxiety increase or distort the Blood Pressure reading? Other than anxiety, I’m pretty healthy. I don’t eat meat, only fish. And I’m not really overweight (10-15 lbs at the most), and I’ve never had a history of High Blood Pressure. Every time before the month of september, my blood pressure was normal. Is it reading high because I freak out and panic now when I take a blood pressure reading? By how many points can freaking out and panicking raise the reading?
What Can I Do About This Major Increase In Panic Attacks?
Since yesterday, I’ve been experiencing MAJOR panic attacks (it’s been about a year since I had them like this)…
I’m pretty sure these recent attacks all stem from this terrorism crap, but I don’t know how to make them go away…
I’m very familiar with thought-stopping techiniques, etc. as I’ve been through ten years of extensive therapy. I know what to do to feel better and none of it is working…
Should I consider going back on meds? I’ve been med-free for two years and HATE to go back to medication since I’ve been able to be fine without them until now.
What to do???

Can Hypothyroidism Increase Your Chances Of Having Anxiety/panic Attacks?
I was just wondering if anybody experienced anxiety attacks while under hypothyroidism and if it was normal to have. I have been on the medicine for about 4 years and just now started experiencing them. Should I stop taking my medication and see a doctor or is it normal to have? Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!
