go somewhere you can be alone lay your head back and take slow deep breathes.
count backward from 100, focusing on this will take your mind off the panic-thoughts.
drink some cold water! sip it..I dont know why this works, but believe me it does.
do 100 sit ups! this gets the energy out and calms you

Another tool I learned is to sit back and imagine yourself having an attack, or make yourself have one and practice calming yourself down..
I have never tried this..but they say it works.

You have a few options. First, is meditation or hypno-therapy. Second, is medication. Third is grin and bear it. I vote #1 as working best for me, but number 2 is sometimes necessary. Number three is really unpleasant. I have tried all of them.
