How Do I Relieve Panic Attacks…any Relevant Experience?

I was in a car accident this year, and I have PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) and everytime I go anywhere I get panicked. I’ve tried pills and they make them a WHOLE LOT worse. I’m currently seeing a psychologist and I get huge panic attacks when I see her too.
Does meditation work? How do you do meditation?
Any relevant experience would help. I’m so annoyed of them, I don’t even leave my house unless I have to, or I go with my boyfriend only.
