Your probably having them every day, because its in your head that its going to happen. Try to clear your head and slow your breathing down. I suffer from anxiety a lot when I’m at work. You are not having attacks when you are asleep because you are calm, and have cleared your head. Try to figure out what is causing the anxiety, and go from there. Good luck, I know how bad it really feels.

STOP
1) accept the feeling – it cannot hurt you
2) give yourself permission to feel anxious
3)breathe slowly through your nose
4)calm yourself with positive self talk
5)let go , float and flow
6)distract your self it is only anxiety
7) use your adrenalin in a positive pursuit
8)don’t let a bad day scare you
9) give yourself credit for how far you have come
10) let time pass. IT WILL GO AWAY
this helps her alot hope it helps you good luck
