Talk to a doc or druggist about the possible side effects of Synthroid, before you stop taking the med, cold turkey. You can also check it out on the web.

never just stop taking meds cause you are having a possible side effect, talk to your doctor and see if the meds could be causing it and then maybe go one a new med that wont give you the panic attacks. always talk to your doctor about medication and never take it into your own hands.

It's best to continue to take your medication, and make an appointment with your doc. Panic attacks can be caused by having too much thyroid hormone, but can also occur for other reasons.
This is experience talking as I had Grave's disease with the accompaniment of anxiety. I was treated with radioactive iodine, and am also now on Synthroid. However, I also have Generalized Anxiety Disorder with panic attacks and major depression. Which came first, the chicken or the egg? Who knows. But there are many other health and situational issues that can cause a panic attack. If your levels are okay according to the doc, then I would ask for a referral to find out if there is something else going on.
In the meantime, there are a lot of things that can be done without meds to help with the panic.
